Shilpa is the first company to receive a European licence for Rivaroxaban ODFs through the centralised procedure. Rivaroxaban is used in adults to prevent blood clots in the veins after a hip or knee replacement operation, and to treat and prevent the recurrence of blood clots in the veins of the legs (deep vein thrombosis) and lungs (pulmonary embolism). It belongs to a group of medicines called antithrombotic agents and works by blocking a blood-clotting factor (factor Xa), reducing the blood’s tendency to form clots.
Engineered on Shilpa Medicare's oral-film platform, refined over 15+ years, every strip carries a uniform, reproducible dose, batch after batch. Clean-label, sugar-free and taste-masked with a peppermint finish, it slips neatly into daily life, at home, at work or on the move.
Clinical relevance: Direct factor Xa inhibitor that reduces thrombin generation and is used for prevention and treatment of thromboembolic events.
